Toddler
Program |
|
|
|
Our
Toddler program provides a loving and nurturing environment in which
the children discover themselves, their surroundings and others.
Each class rotates between areas such as Housekeeping, Manipulatives,
Science, Art and Motor/Music. Teachers concentrate on social and
listening skills, as well as fine and gross motor development. In
addition to the toddler staff, we also have a full-time Toddler
Coordinator to assist with art projects, lunch, potty-time and cleaning. |

Preschool/Pre-Kindergarten
Program |
|
|
Our
Preschool program provides many opportunities for children to explore
a variety of activities. For example, sharing time, creative dramatics,
science experiments, manipulatives, language, art (short & long
term projects), outdoor play and exploring nature. Again, emphasis
is put on the individual child's interests, developing his/her own
personality and expanding their curiosity, creativity and social
development. |

Kindergarten
Program |
|
|
Our
Kindergarten curriculum is a State Chartered Kindergarten and
is consistent with the courses of study developed by the Ohio
State Department of Education, Greene County, and Beavercreek
City Schools. This allows for a smooth transition into the first
grade.
The
subject areas are taught within the framework of thematic units
so the skills and learning objectives are meaningful to the kindergarten
learner. Literature is frequently used to introduce and support
concepts in an enjoyable manner. The much-loved Letter People
of the Alpha Time Program are used throughout our curriculum.
Field trips, special visitors and class projects are also an integral
part of our program.
